Job summary

MESQUITE SWD, INC. is seeking a Pump Service Technician for a full-time, on-site role based in Carlsbad, NM. You will inspect, install, maintain, and repair pumps and related equipment used in oilfield and water disposal operations.

This position involves troubleshooting mechanical and basic electrical issues, performing routine preventive maintenance, and documenting work per company procedures. Collaboration with operations and safety teams ensures reliability and safety in outdoor

Qualifications

Experience with mechanical repair and maintenance of pumps, motors, and related industrial equipment.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
Basic understanding of fluid systems, pressure, and flow in oilfield or industrial settings.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to follow technical manuals and work instructions.
Commitment to safety practices, including use of personal protective equipment and adherence to company safety policies.
Ability to work on-site in outdoor and industrial environments, including standing, lifting, and bending as required.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanics, industrial maintenance, or a related field is beneficial.
Prior experience in oil and energy, water disposal, or related field service work is a plus.
Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record for job-related travel as needed
Ability to work day or night shift
Willingness to maintain a clean working enviroment including service trucks.

Responsibilities

Inspect, install, maintain, and repair pumps and related equipment used in oilfield and water disposal operations.
Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues.
Perform routine preventive maintenance and document work performed according to company procedures.
Collaborate with operations and safety teams to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and maintain a safe work environment.
Work outdoors in varying conditions, handling tools and parts, and responding to service calls as needed.
