Qualifications

• Oil & gas field safety experience.
• At least 1 year of EHS/Safety experience.
• Working knowledge of OSHA and FMCSA/DOT regulations.
• Understanding of oil & gas safety and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret safety regulations.
• Experience conducting field inspections and identifying hazards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to conduct safety training and communicate policies effectively.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work independently and interact effectively with field and management teams.
• Willingness to travel 60-70%.
• Flexibility to work additional hours and weekends when required.
• Ability to be on-call and respond to emergencies.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Hands-on field approach is essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety inspections of field locations, company yards, shops, trucks, and equipment.
• Identify unsafe conditions, safety violations, and potential hazards.
• Conduct Job Hazard Assessments (JHAs) and recommend corrective actions.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, including root-cause analysis.
• Develop and implement safety procedures, programs, and training.
• Conduct new-hire safety orientations.
• Deliver safety training such as H2S, SafeLand, Hazmat Awareness, CPR, and First Aid.
• Ensure employees maintain required safety training and certifications.
• Monitor and support compliance with OSHA, DOT/FMCSA, EPA, and oil & gas regulations.
• Manage safety-related permits, reports, applications, and documentation.
• Maintain PPE inventory and distribution for the assigned region.
• Prepare safety reports, spreadsheets, and data summaries for management.
• Work closely with operations and field leadership to reinforce safe work practices.
• Maintain communication with client safety representatives.
• Stay current with changing regulations and industry best practices.
• Serve as a technical resource for EHS and DOT-related matters.
• Respond to safety emergencies and participate in investigations as needed.

Job description

A rapidly growing oilfield services company is seeking an experienced Oilfield Health & Safety Field Representative to support safe work practices across its field operations.

The Safety Representative will work closely with field supervisors, managers, employees, and clients to implement safety programs, conduct inspections, provide training, investigate incidents, and ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT/FMCSA, EPA, and applicable oil & gas regulations.

Colorado will be the home base for this position. The role requires approximately 60-70% travel to field operations outside the home base, including Utah and Texas.
