Job summary

Axis Energy Services is hiring for a Floor Hand to join a plug & abandonment crew on a well service rig. You will assist in rigging, handling tubing and heavy rig tools, and maintaining equipment.

The role requires English communication, physical fitness to lift up to 75 lbs, and a willingness to work long hours in field conditions; a valid driver's license and MVR check are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or the equivalent.
• CDL Class A or B preferred.
• Valid state driver license with acceptable MVR.
• Basic oilfield well servicing experience.
• Minimum of one year rig floor operation experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Willingness to travel as job requires.
• Able to work long hours and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist in rigging up and down the well service rig.
• Assist operator in lining up the rig with the well.
• Set hydraulic jacks, pads/boards; attach guy wires.
• Operate rod wrenches, tongs, elevators during operations.
• Move tubing and rods as required.
• Maintain tubing, rod tongs and hand tools on the rig.
• Dismantle and repair oil field machinery.
• Keep decks clean and report hazards.
• Work in all weather conditions; climb ladders; lift up to 75 lbs.
• Report safety hazards to Rig Supervisor.
