Job summary

Lewis Energy Group seeks a skilled Electronics Technician to lay out, rig up, build, test, and repair oilfield electronic components and systems. You will troubleshoot sensors, calibrate devices, and work with Data Van software under supervision.

Responsibilities include maintaining logs, coordinating with team members, reading schematics, and performing preventive maintenance on computer systems and instrumentation. A valid driver’s license and basic tools are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus one year certificate from college or technical school, or 1–3 years related experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret safety and maintenance procedures, and to write reports and communicate with supervisors and clients.
• Mathematical skills include basic algebra and geometry; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent; read graphs.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, repairs and calibrates sensors at entry to intermediate level under supervision.
• Uses Data Van software for installation, configuration, and remote use; analyzes log/data files.
• Maintains repair parts tracking, spares, and consumables; documents equipment status and work orders.
• Coordinates with personnel to complete requests; communicates status clearly.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, schematics, and procedures; troubleshoots non-standard devices.
• Performs preventive maintenance and visual inspections following procedures.
• Performs failure analysis and communicates findings in reports.
