Job summary

Interfor in Bay Springs, Mississippi, seeks an Oiler and Lubrication Technician to maintain mill equipment by servicing lubrication systems, ensuring bearings and drives are properly greased and oiled.

The role requires following safety and HR policies, handling preventative maintenance, and a willingness to work flexible hours including weekends or holidays. A high school diploma or GED and two years' experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to follow instructions and work without constant supervision.

• Knowledgeable on both oil and grease lubricants and greasing procedures for bearings.

Responsibilities

• Service all reducers.
• Keep up with the preventative maintenance on all drive chains and sprockets.
• Change filters on hydraulic units and check oil levels.
• Fill all lube tanks and oil tanks daily.
• Perform basic maintenance on hydraulic units.
• Service, repair, and maintain automatic oil and grease lube systems.
• Perform other duties as requested by Supervisor to keep area in operation.
• Keep work area neat and clean.
• Adhere to safety policies and HR policies.

Oiler and Lubrication Technician, Bay Springs, Mississippi

As an Oiler and Lubrication Technician in Bay Springs, Mississippi, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the reliability and performance of our mill equipment by servicing servicing lubrication systems and ensuring machinery is properly greased, oiled, and maintained.

The pay rate for this position is $23.07 to $25.71 per hour based on skill level and experience.

What You’ll Do

• Must adhere to all safety policies and standards.
• Must adhere to all HR policies and standards.
• Service all reducers.
• Keep up with the preventative maintenance on all drive chains and sprockets.
• Change filters on hydraulic units and check oil levels.
• Fill all lube tanks and oil tanks daily.
• Perform basic maintenance on hydraulic units.
• Service, repair, and maintain automatic oil and grease lube systems.
• Perform any other duties in any area requested by Supervisor in order to keep area in operation.
• Keep work area neat and clean.
• Physical Requirements: Walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs.).
