North Slope Borough is seeking a skilled worker to monitor oil and fuel levels, perform lubrication and maintenance on equipment, and assist with fuel delivery and related tasks. The role requires CDL with HazMat, HAZWOPER, and various incident command trainings.
The employee may work non-traditional hours, including evenings, holidays and weekends, with on-call duties as needed; certifications such as CPR/First Aid and SPCC are required within probation.
All Borough employees who occupy positions where federal law mandates testing shall comply with the requirements of the federal regulations and will be subject to pre-employment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion return to duty and follow-up testing.
Monitor and maintain the oil and fuel levels of vehicles and equipment.

Knowledge of North Slope Borough organization, operations, policies and procedures.
Valid Alaska Commercial Driver’s License or Obtain a Valid AKCDL within the first 6 months of employment (with Hazardous Material Endorsement) that meets North Slope
Borough insurance criteria; and OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certification.
Required to obtain Incident Command System (IS) 100, IS 200, IS 700 and IS 800;
Required to obtain CPR, AED and Basic First Aid Certifications.
Ability to obtain site specific Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) training in accordance with 40 C.F.R. § 265.16 within the probationary period.
Ability to obtain Hazardous Waste and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) current certification within the probationary period.
Ability to obtain Small Quantity Handler training in accordance with 40 C.F.R. § 273.16 within the probationary period.
Ability to obtain site specific Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) training in accordance with 40 C.F.R. 112.7 (f)(1)(2) and (3) within the probationary period.
