Ingalls Shipbuilding, a division of HII, is seeking an Operating Engineer to lubricate and maintain a range of mechanical equipment aboard ships in Pascagoula, MS. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent, with shipyard or industrial background preferred.

Position is full-time and on-site with no relocation assistance. US citizenship required. Telework is not available. Competitive benefits are offered.

The Role

Lubricate, according to schedule and need, the moving parts of a variety of mechanical equipment, such as pumps, shafting, motor bearings, engines, sprockets, drive chains, gears, pulleys, compressors, water treatment equipment, power house equipment, galley equipment, cranes and heating and ventilating equipment. Maintain oil and grease levels. Grease moving parts and friction surfaces.

Must Have

• 3 to 5 years experience

Nice to Have

• High school diploma or equivalent with shipyard or industrial experience
