Qualifications

  • High School or equivalent with 3 years dock operations experience.
  • 2+ years terminal operations experience preferred but not required.
  • Must be available for on-call as scheduled.
  • Must have a valid Driver's license.
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC card.
  • Able to read and comprehend SOPs, SDS sheets, and other technical documents.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Oversee the loading of crude oil vessels from docking to sailing.
  • Maintain accurate time logs for loading vessels.
  • Safely operate cranes and loading arms.
  • Properly connects/disconnects loading arms and dock hoses on vessels and barges.
  • Perform dock inspections and ensure docks are clean and in good order.
  • Assist other operators when needed.
  • Stay alert to monitor barge/vessels and prevent damages.
  • Perform all other duties as needed by the Shift Supervisor.
