Job summary

Harvest Midstream Company seeks a Senior Counsel to join its legal team. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will handle domestic midstream and energy infrastructure transactions, litigation management, and general contracts.

Responsibilities include negotiating and drafting complex contracts, providing legal risk analysis, due diligence for acquisitions, and advising management on regulatory and compliance matters in the oil and gas sector. Texas bar is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years experience, including domestic oil and gas transactional work.
• Law firm or in-house experience required.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws with emphasis in oil and gas.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate complex information.

Responsibilities

• Provides analysis and counsel on legal, policy, and environmental issues including contracts, acquisitions, NDAs, outsourcing, and regulatory compliance.
• Provides legal counsel on matters from actual or threatened lawsuits.
• Anticipates legal risks and advises on company positions and strategy.
• Drafts and reviews complex commercial, vendor, client, and employment contracts.
• Interprets regulations and advises on their impact on the company.
• Performs due diligence and negotiates legal documents in acquisitions.

Education

J.D. degree from an accredited law school
