Job summary

Glencore Ltd in New York, NY is seeking a Structured Finance Analyst to support its Oil Project and Structured Finance (OPSF) group. You will assist in executing complex transactions related to M&A and debt financing, collaborating with trading desks across North and South America.

The role requires solid financial modeling, scenario analysis, and due diligence, with 2–5 years of investment banking or structured finance experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in investment banking, structured finance, M&A, or asset management; energy/infrastructure a plus.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with financial modeling experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases; VBA, Python or SQL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Market Analysis: Track market trends, pricing dynamics, and regulatory developments for financing structures in the upstream, midstream, and downstream space.
• Transaction Evaluation: Build and maintain financial models for structured transactions and assess risk/return.
• Transaction Structuring and Execution: Prepare investment memos, term sheets, and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders.
• Transaction Monitoring: Update models and provide ongoing performance analysis.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain relationships with banks, investors, and other key participants.
