Job summary

Atwell, LLC in the Dallas area seeks a Structural Designer with oil and gas experience. You will execute and coordinate structural design from concept through construction, focusing on ductwork, concrete, and steel components for pipeline and facility projects.

Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor (2021–2023) is strongly preferred, and candidates should have at least 3 years using AutoCAD or CADWorx, along with a solid ability to work under deadlines in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Mechanical or Structural Drafting & Design Technology, or related field (preferred).
• Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (versions 2021–2023) is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience using AutoCAD and/or CADWorx for industrial structural or piping design.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and oil and gas facilities such as pipelines, terminals, and process plants.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and implement structural design input from the Lead Structural Engineer for oil and gas facilities, including pipelines, compressor stations, terminals, and processing plants
• Develop detailed construction documents, including structural plans, sections, and connection details for steel and concrete structures commonly used in oil and gas infrastructure
• Develop and detail ductwork layouts and designs for oil and gas facilities, coordinating duct routing, supports, equipment connections, and clearances with structural, mechanical, piping, and other disciplines
• Revise drawings based on redlines and ensure all affected sheets and disciplines are properly coordinated and updated
• Perform periodic field visits to verify existing conditions, collect structural framing and ductwork measurements, and support as-built documentation
• Effectively manage multiple projects concurrently, maintaining high-quality deliverables and meeting established deadlines
