Job summary

Atwell, LLC is seeking a licensed Civil/Structural Engineer to lead civil and structural design for oil and gas infrastructure, including pipelines, terminals, and processing facilities. You will develop construction documents, coordinate across disciplines, and ensure code compliance from concept through construction.

The role requires a PE license, ABET-accredited degree, 7+ years of relevant experience, and proficiency with structural analysis software and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (ABET-accredited)
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• 7+ years of civil/structural engineering for oil & gas facilities or similar
• Proficient in STAAD.Pro, RISA, SAP2000 or similar
• CAD tools: AutoCAD, CADWorx, Civil 3D; knowledge of Inventor/Navisworks/Tekla a plus
• Strong knowledge of AISC, ACI, ASCE, API, IBC, etc.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

• Lead civil and structural design for oil & gas infrastructure projects including pipelines, stations, terminals, and process facilities
• Develop construction documents: structural plans, general arrangements, framing, connection details
• Coordinate ductwork interfaces with piping, mechanical, and electrical disciplines
• Perform structural analyses under wind, seismic, blast, and equipment loads per codes
• Review calculations, drawings, and reports; mentor junior engineers
• Collaborate with multidiscipline teams to coordinate structural requirements
• Conduct field visits to verify as-built conditions and support construction
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resources; ensure QA/QC adherence
• Support QA/QC procedures and best practices across deliverables
