Job summary

EOG Resources in Houston seeks an experienced Revenue Accountant to record oil and gas revenue for Texas properties, process allocations, and coordinate with regulatory teams on severance taxes.

You will prepare monthly revenue accruals, process invoices, analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts, and prepare journal entries while supporting audits and responding to royalty owner inquiries on special projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with core accounting coursework.
  • 3+ years of oil and gas revenue accounting or equivalent industry experience.
  • CPA certification is a plus.
  • Strong GAAP knowledge and ability to analyze data clearly.
  • Proficient with MS Excel; knowledge of SQL and MS Query a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Record oil and gas revenue for Texas properties.
  • Process natural gas plant allocations.
  • Coordinate with regulatory team to remit and report severance taxes for oil and gas sales, Federal and State royalties.
  • Prepare monthly revenue accruals, process invoices, and monitor pipeline imbalances.
  • Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries.
  • Support audits.
  • Review and process division of interest changes received from Land Administration.
  • Respond to royalty owner inquiries and work on special projects.
