Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. in the United States is seeking Level II Pipeline Mapping Designers with expertise in Oil & Gas, focusing on pipeline systems. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience developing base drawings, alignment sheets and detailing drawings and documentation.

Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential, and experience with an engineering consulting firm is highly desirable. This role is available to candidates located in the Central or Eastern Time Zones.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or CAD/Drafting/Design cert required; other education/experience may be considered.
• 4+ years of AutoCAD experience for pipeline design projects.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Excel, Teams, Word; familiarity with MicroStation/ProjectWise/GIS.

Responsibilities

• Interpret survey data and draft/update complex alignment sheets, HDDs, and permit drawings.
• Prepare intermediate AutoCAD drawings with minimal supervision.
• Apply company design standards and procedures to projects.
• Perform quality checks on drawings and designs.
• Coordinate project elements with other teams.
• Begin to take on small design projects independently.
• Interface with project engineers.
