Job summary

Crosby Energy Services is seeking Production Lease Operators to support oil and natural gas production operations in the Fort Worth, Texas area. This position is responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of assigned wells, production facilities, and associated equipment throughout the Barnett Shale region.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of oil and gas production or lease operating experience preferred.
• Previous experience operating and maintaining natural gas wells and production facilities strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with artificial lift systems, particularly plunger lift and gas-assisted plunger lift, is highly desirable.
• Working knowledge of wellhead equipment, separators, compressors, production meters, valves, and associated systems.
• Ability to identify production problems, troubleshoot equipment, and perform minor mechanical repairs.
• Experience using SCADA systems, electronic production reporting, or remote well monitoring technology preferred.
• Understanding of well testing, production optimization, pressure monitoring, and basic gas measurement principles.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate hand tools and field maintenance equipment.
• Basic computer skills and ability to maintain accurate electronic production records.
• Ability to work independently, manage assigned well routes, and communicate effectively with supervisors and support personnel.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform the physical duties associated with field production operations.
• Willingness to respond to operational needs outside normal working hours when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections and operational checks of wells, production facilities, and equipment.
• Monitor and optimize well performance to maintain production rates and minimize downtime.
• Record daily production volumes, wellhead and casing pressures, fluid levels, meter readings, and equipment operating conditions.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot artificial lift systems, including plunger lift, gas-assisted plunger lift, gas lift, and other applicable production systems.
• Inspect and maintain wellheads, separators, compressors, production vessels, flowlines, meters, gauges, and associated equipment.
• Monitor plunger lift performance, adjust operating settings, and identify equipment malfunctions or production restrictions.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs on valves, pumps, regulators, compressors, and related production equipment.
• Conduct well tests, monitor production trends, and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
• Utilize SCADA and electronic production monitoring systems to evaluate well performance, respond to alarms, and document operating conditions.
• Monitor chemical injection systems and coordinate adjustments as needed to maintain equipment integrity and production performance.
• Identify and report leaks, abnormal pressures, equipment failures, and other potential safety or environmental concerns.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel, production supervisors, and technical support teams to resolve operational issues.
• Maintain accurate daily production reports, equipment inspection records, downtime reports, and maintenance documentation.
• Ensure field operations comply with company safety procedures, environmental regulations, and established operating standards.
• Respond to operational issues, equipment alarms, and production interruptions as required.
