Job summary

Oklahoma Corporation Commission seeks a field inspector to regulate and inspect oil and gas facilities in Western Creek County. The role requires in-person work, outdoor conditions, and travel within the territory. Residency within 100 miles of the farthest point is essential.

Responsibilities include investigations of violations, environmental protection, and enforcement of state rules. The position is full-time with a competitive annual salary and state benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic oil field drilling, production and plugging practices.
• Familiarity with investigative methods and environmental protection related to oil and gas.
• Ability to maintain records and abide by pollution abatement rules.

Responsibilities

• Perform investigations of rule violations and environmental pollution.
• Inspect drilling, transportation and production facilities for compliance.
• Respond to safety threats from well blowouts and other hazards.
• Oversee remediation efforts and conduct follow-up inspections.
• Witness tests and record data on well production and related parameters.
• Provide testimony in Commission hearings on investigations and actions.
