Job summary

Sentinel Peak Resources LLC in California is seeking an Engineering Technician to support our California assets. This role is office-based and collaborates with asset engineers, production staff, and field operations to turn operational data into actionable information.

You will gain hands-on exposure to well operations, production data, well integrity, regulatory reporting, and asset performance while learning from experienced engineers. Occasional field travel is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• College coursework in engineering, petroleum technology, or related field desired.
• Two years of experience in the essential duties of the Engineering Technician.
• Any combination of education and experience providing the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this position may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates directly with engineers, field operations, and other stakeholders to coordinate well operations.
• Monitors and verifies the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of well data and develops methodologies for effective utilization of data.
• Assists the compliance department by tracking, preparing, and submitting well histories, MIT I & MIT II test documentation, and other required data.
• Performs well reviews, data entry, and creates detailed wellbore diagrams in compliance with AOR and UIC requirements.
• Maintains detailed records of well operations in alignment with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
• Participates in multi-discipline teams as needed to keep workflow on track.
• Assists in the preparation of various reports, plans, budgets, tracking and well reviews.
• Maintains a database containing rig work information.
• Performs all other job-related duties as assigned.
