Job summary

HDR is seeking an Oil, Gas, and Chemicals CAD Designer to contribute to discipline BIM models and piping designs using CADWorx/Plant 3D. You will generate, maintain, and annotate discipline models in line with project scope and DDP guidelines, coordinating with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated deliverables.

The role requires 5+ years in the field, a technical degree, strong 3D design software skills, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or combination of education and related industry experience.
• Minimum of 5 years related industry experience.
• Advanced skills in 3D design software and BIM coordination.
• Proficient with 3D coordination tools and MS Office.
• Strong understanding of engineering or architectural concepts.

Responsibilities

• Work for mechanical discipline with some coordination with Civil and Structural disciplines, with minimal direction from the Engineer.
• Generate BIM elements based on the Level of Development (LOD) in the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP) and project scope.
• Create and maintain the discipline model, systems, content, and overall digital delivery output.
• Be skilled with CADWorx and/or Plant 3D to produce piping designs.
• Model BIM elements with correct constraints in the modeling environment using CADWorx and/or Plant 3D.
• Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, & diagrams using CADWorx and/or Plant 3D.
• Maintain the discipline model including project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, scope boundaries, match-lines, views, and sheets.
• Produce discipline specific documentation with accurate annotations on all modeling output.
• Coordinate the design with other discipline models through Design Reviews and 3D Coordination processes.
• Execute all Digital Delivery requirements identified on the project.
