Job summary

HDR is seeking an Oil, Gas, and Chemicals CAD Designer in Colorado to develop and manage discipline models using CADWorx and Plant 3D. You will deliver detailed drawings, model health checks, and coordinate with Civil/Structural teams within the Digital Delivery Plan.

You should have at least 5 years of related industry experience, strong CAD tools knowledge, and excellent communication and organizational skills to ensure design integrity and timely project delivery at scale.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or a combination of education and related industry experience.
• Minimum of 5 years related industry experience.
• Advanced understanding of 3D design software and document management infrastructure.
• Advanced skillset of a 3D coordination tool.
• Competency with Microsoft Office products and communication tools.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Work primarily in the Mechanical discipline with some civil/structural coordination.
• Maintain discipline model, BIM elements, and digital delivery output per DDP and project scope.
• Create and manage the discipline model and content for the project.
• Be skilled with CADWorx and/or Plant 3D to produce piping designs.
• Model BIM elements with correct constraints in the modeling environment.
• Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and diagrams using CADWorx/Plant 3D.
• Coordinate design with other discipline models during design reviews and 3D coordination.
• Execute all Digital Delivery requirements identified for the project.
