Job summary

Townsend Energy in Massachusetts is seeking seasonal fuel delivery drivers for November through April. You will load/unload fuel, make deliveries to residential and light commercial addresses, and follow DOT safety standards.

A valid CDL and hazmat endorsements are required; minimum one year oil delivery experience is preferred. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, vision, dental, 401k with company match, paid holidays, vacation, and uniforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• MA/NH Propane license preferred.
• CDL A or B preferred with tanker and hazmat endorsements.
• Applicable licenses/tests (TWIC, CTEP) are beneficial.
• Experience in fuel delivery and data entry on tablets is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload fuel for delivery.
• Make fuel deliveries in a safe and efficient manner to correct addresses.
• Follow routes and time schedule.
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Interact with customers and co-workers in a professional and respectful manner.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspection of vehicle and equipment.

Pay Rate:

$30.00 to $35.00 + per hour, depending on experience + bonus pay

Hours:

Day Shift, 8-hour workday; flexible start time

Schedule:

Full time, with on-call rotation | Occasional Saturday's

What You Will Be Doing

• Loading and unloading fuel truck for delivery
• Making fuel deliveries in a safe and efficient manner to correct addresses
• Follow routes and time schedule
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
• Interacting with customers and co-workers in a professional and respectful manner
• Conduct pre and post trip inspection of vehicle and equipment

What We Are Looking For

• 1 year of oil delivery experience
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
• Valid CDL (minimum B)
• Tanker, Air Brake, and Hazmat Endorsements
• CDL A & B preferred
• Pass DOT physical and other requirements
• Ability to drive in a safe and courteous manner
• Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps
• Previous experience with data entry skills to input data on a tablet preferred
• Ability to maintain basic logs and records
• Able to remain professional and courteous at all times
• Maintaining a good driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent

Desired Licensure And Experience

• Prior experience with fuel delivery
• CTEP Certified
• MA or NH Propane license
• Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC)
• MA hoisting/crane license
• Medic First Aid and CPR card and be proficient in their application

Candidates will be required to pass a background check and drug test upon being given a conditional offer of employment.
