Job summary

Ed Martin Automotive Group is seeking Oil/Filter Change Technicians for its Service Department in Carmel, IN. The role involves performing oil and filter changes, topping off fluids, and other entry-level service tasks to keep vehicles safe and running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have basic automotive knowledge, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to learn new repair procedures. ASE certifications are preferred, with opportunities for training and growth within the

Responsibilities

• Test to verify systems and components work correctly.

• Diagnose and repair with accuracy and efficiency.
• Repair or replace worn parts before failure.
• Use power tools, machine tools and hand tools as needed.

ABOUT

Ed Martin Automotive Group is looking to add Oil/Filter Change Technicians to our Service Department! The ideal candidate will posses some level of experience in a business setting with performing Oil & Filter Changes, Topping off air pressure in tires, Filling/replacing various fluids and other entry level service tasks. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Test to check whether systems and components are secure and working properly
• Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem
• Drive the vehicle for testing purposes
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles
• Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle's breakdown or damage
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to identify the problem quickly
• Knowledge of automobiles
• Effective analytical and communication skills
• Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
• Comfortable operating electronic diagnostic equipment
• High school diploma or GED
• Technical degree preferred
• ASE certifications preferred
• Minimum of 1 year in service department
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills
• Positive, friendly attitude
