Ed Martin Nissan in Carmel, IN is seeking Oil/Filter Change Technicians to join our Service Department. The ideal candidate will have some experience with basic maintenance tasks like oil and filter changes, tire pressure checks, fluid top-offs, and related service duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical degree preferred.
• Knowledge of automobiles; ASE certifications preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in service department; ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Strong reading, math, and computer skills; effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Test and diagnose vehicle systems to ensure proper operation.
• Isolate problems and determine root causes.
• Drive vehicles for testing and evaluation.
• Maintain accuracy and efficiency in diagnostics and repairs.
• Repair or replace worn parts ahead of failures.
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools for service tasks.

Ed Martin Automotive Group is looking to add Oil/Filter Change Technicians to our Service Department! The ideal candidate will posses some level of experience in a business setting with performing Oil & Filter Changes, Topping off air pressure in tires, Filling/replacing various fluids and other entry level service tasks. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Test to check whether systems and components are secure and working properly
• Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem
• Drive the vehicle for testing purposes
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles
• Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks

REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to identify the problem quickly
• Knowledge of automobiles
• Effective analytical and communication skills
• Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specificationsComfortable operating electronic diagnostic equipment
• High school diploma or GED
• Technical degree preferred
• ASE certifications preferred
• Minimum of 1 year in service department
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills
