Job summary

Ed Martin Automotive Group is seeking Oil/Filter Change Technicians for their Service Department in Carmel, Indiana. The successful candidates will perform oil and filter changes, maintain tire air pressure, and fill various fluids, among other entry-level tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in service department required.
• Comfortable operating electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to learn new technology and repair procedures.

Responsibilities

• Test to check whether systems are secure and working properly.
• Isolate systems that might have caused problems.
• Drive vehicles for testing purposes.
• Maintain efficiency in diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
• Repair or replace worn parts before breakdown.
• Use power tools and hand tools for tasks.

Ed Martin Automotive Group is looking to add Oil/Filter Change Technicians to our Service Department! The ideal candidate will posses some level of experience in a business setting with performing Oil & Filter Changes, Topping off air pressure in tires, Filling/replacing various fluids and other entry level service tasks. Responsibilities

• Test to check whether systems and components are secure and working properly
• Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem
• Drive the vehicle for testing purposes
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles
• Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks

Requirements

• Ability to identify the problem quickly
• Knowledge of automobiles
• Effective analytical and communication skills
• Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills
• Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
• Comfortable operating electronic diagnostic equipment
• High school diploma or GED
• Technical degree preferred
• ASE certifications preferred
• Minimum of 1 year in service department
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills
• Positive, friendly attitude
