Oil Change and Lube Technician (Transportation)

Get with Spiffy and go mobile! Are you an automotive enthusiast looking to expand your knowledge in the industry? As a Mobile Oil and Lube Technician, you will travel to different designated sites in a fully equipped company van performing preventative maintenance services, primarily focusing on oil changes, filter replacements, and other vital fluids to ensure vehicle optimization. Must be willing to work in all weather conditions. If you prefer a temperature-controlled environment, this job may not be ideal for you.

Shift: 3:30pm-12 Midnight

What will you be doing?

• Perform oil changes by draining old engine oil, replacing oil filters, refilling new oil, and ensuring there are no leaks, adhering to manufacturer’s specifications and guidelines
• Conduct fluid top-offs for transmission, power steering, brakes, coolant, and other essential components
• Utilize automotive tools and equipment safely and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, explaining services, and recommending additional maintenance or detailing options
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices
• Collaborate with team members to meet service timelines and uphold quality standards
• Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations
• Assist with other automotive service tasks as needed

What are the qualifications?

• Must be 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive
• Energetic self-starter willing to work in all weather conditions
• Team player, hardworking, honest, reliable, and timely
• Basic computer and math skills, tech-savvy with a smartphone
• Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent attention to detail and high-quality workmanship
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Physical stamina for extended periods of standing, bending, and moving around vehicles
• Willing to learn and adapt to new technologies
• Flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Preferred but not required experience

• Experience as an Oil Change and Lube Technician, especially servicing fleet or in quick lube environments
• Experience working outdoors or in all weather conditions, such as in construction or HVAC
