Job summary

Onterris, Inc. is seeking an OGI Field Technician to perform hydrocarbon fugitive emission and/or leak detection at facilities in the oil and gas industry.

You will use advanced detection technologies and GPS-guided navigation to collect emission data and prepare field reports in a rugged outdoor environment. The role requires experience in oil and gas, strong computer skills, proficiency with Android OS and the ability to work 12-hour days.

Qualifications

• Experience in Oil and Gas industry (preference to natural gas processing/transmission facilities).
• Effective computer skills (Excel and Microsoft Office) and proficiency with Android OS.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts (days only).
• Valid driver's license required.
• Preference for candidates with an associate or bachelor's degree in engineering technology or related technical degree; related hydrocarbon detection/LDAR/instrumentation/mechanical background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating and navigating to facilities using maps and GPS.
• Calibrate and maintain field equipment.
• Use detection and measurement technologies under supervision.

As well as work with industry leading technologies used to detect and measure methane gas emissions.The compensation range for this role is $50-60k/yr.
