Job summary

Onterris in the United States is seeking an Emissions Monitoring & Repair Technician to support leak detection and gas quantification at customer facilities. Using Optical Gas Imaging and gas analyzers, you will identify fugitive emissions and perform approved repairs to ensure compliance and reliability.

The role requires travel across North America, 12-hour shifts, and strong safety discipline. Candidates with Oil & Gas experience, proficiency in Excel, and a technical degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in Oil and Gas industry; preference for natural gas facilities.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office; Android OS experience helpful.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform OGI surveys to identify fugitive gas emissions.
• Quantify emissions using approved measurement technologies.
• Detect and quantify methane, CO2, VOCs and other gases as required by clients.
• Diagnose emission sources and determine repair actions.
• Perform approved field repairs on valves, flanges, fittings, regulators, tubing and other components.
• Verify repair effectiveness through follow-up inspections and quantification.
• Document findings, repairs, and recommendations in customer reports.
• Follow all safety procedures, permits, and lockout/tagout requirements.
• Travel to industrial facilities throughout North America.
