Job summary

Onterris is seeking an OGI Field Technician to perform hydrocarbon fugitive emission and leak detection at oil and gas facilities. You will travel to sites, calibrate equipment, and collect emission data under supervision to prepare field reports.

The role requires a 12-hour shift schedule, a valid driver’s license, and experience in the oil & gas sector. A related technical degree is preferred and travel is expected.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Oil and Gas industry, preference for natural gas processing/transmission facility experience.
  • Proficient with Excel and Microsoft Office; comfortable using Android OS.
  • Able to work 12-hour day shifts.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering technology or related technical field; related hydrocarbon detection/LDAR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hydrocarbon fugitive emission and leak detection at facilities in the oil and gas industry.
  • Coordinate navigation to facilities using maps and GPS; assist with route planning.
  • Calibrate and maintain field equipment; operate detection technologies under supervision.
  • Collect and record emission data; prepare required field reports.
  • Travel to multiple sites as required by project needs.
