Description

The Finance Data Group within Huntington Finance & Controllership partners with multiple stakeholders, including Regulatory Reporting, FP&A, and Balance Sheet Management groups, supporting key functions such as monthly/quarterly external report filings and internal management reporting and analytics.

The Finance Data Analyst Sr role utilizes technical and analytical skills to analyze large data sets, automate processes, and collaborate with operational teams to enable analytics and reporting. Responsibilities include evaluating data integrity across systems, examining data and variances, enhancing data management processes, developing KPI metrics, and providing actionable analysis to optimize revenue, margin, operating expenses, and other key metrics. The analyst may manage analytical applications within the Finance portfolio and should have knowledge of finance processes, system interactions, Excel, database queries, SOX compliance, R2R cycle, and management reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with OFSAA ecosystem stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery.
• Collaborate with technology teams on data development, implementation, testing, and documentation for OFSAA processes.
• Create business, functional requirements, and data mapping documents.
• Configure OFSAA modules to meet project needs.
• Support other group projects and initiatives.
• Analyze large datasets, automate processes within Finance applications, and build/enhance data management processes.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or IT.
• At least 3 years of experience in Financial Services.
• 3+ years of experience with OFSAA Data foundation and frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with OFSAA projects related to regulatory or risk reporting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with analytical platforms like OFSAA, BI tools, and database analytics.
• Expertise in SQL.
• 5+ years in Regulatory/Risk systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, financial instruments, and bank regulations.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Knowledge of additional coding languages like PL/SQL, Python, or R is a plus.
• Understanding of finance processes, SOX compliance, R2R cycle, and management reporting.

• Exempt Status: Yes (not eligible for overtime).
