Job summary

AEP Energy seeks a skilled software professional to design, develop, and optimize OFSC-driven solutions in the Gahanna, Ohio area. The role involves leading code reviews, mentoring peers, and aligning with AEP standards across systems and teams.

Responsibilities include integrating OFSC with other systems, building robust PL/SQL components, and delivering real-time data access for field technicians. Non-local candidates within the AEP footprint are considered.

Qualifications

• Experience customizing OFSC to meet business needs and workflows.
• Strong Oracle PL/SQL development including procedures, functions and triggers.
• Experience building data visualizations with OAC and ADW.
• Ability to integrate OFSC with external systems and data sources.

Responsibilities

Job description

Client: AEP Energy

Pay rate: W-2,depends on experience

Location: Gahanna OH 43230 (Will accept non-local candidates in AEP Footprint.)

No Corp to Corp.

Essential Job Functions & Tasks:

• Design, develop or modify code according to AEP standards and practices
• Identify and remove software defects
• Give direction as technical lead and works with team members
• Provide solution ideas and direction
• Use software testing tools to assure the creation of software having the fewest defects
• Lead and participate in Code reviews
• Share responsibility and assist team members in achieving goals
• Communicate effectively with others.
• Mentor peers and junior software developers
• Collaborate with architect, analyst, project manager and customers

Additional Required Experience:

• Customize OFSC features including managing properties, filters, views, forms, and plugins to meet business needs.
• Good knowledge on building and maintaining data visualizations using OAC and ADW.
• Develop and maintain integration between OFSC and other systems
• Proficiency in Oracle PL/SQL, including the development of stored procedures, functions, packages and triggers.
• Configure and enhance the mobile application for field technicians, ensuring real-time tracking, routing and data access.
• Experience integrating with WMS, CIS using OIC
• Proficient with DevOps practices (Git, CI/CD, automation, testing frameworks)

• Utility domain context and experience with field operations
• Reviewing and translating Oracle release notes
