Job summary

Target is seeking an Offsite Warehouse Driver to transport, load, and unload products safely between offsite facilities and stores. You will ensure compliance with DOT regulations, complete essential paperwork, and maintain vehicle readiness for efficient routes.

The role supports guest services and maintains stock in backrooms, while adhering to safety policies and training. This position requires 21+ and a valid CDL/driver's license, with opportunities to operate powered equipment where

The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, presentation, pricing and promotional signing processes for all General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store. This team leads Food & Beverage and Food Service, providing a fresh and food safe experience. Experts enable efficient delivery to our guests by owning pick, pack and ship fulfillment work. The role of an Offsite Warehouse Driver canprovide you with the: Knowledge of guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest first culture across the store Experience in retail business fundamentals including: department sales trends, inventory management, process efficiency and improvement Experience executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals

As an Offsite Warehouse Driver, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:

• Responsible for the transportation, preparation, loading and unloading of product to and from offsite in a safe and efficient manner.
• This includes being compliant with all relevant DOT regulations.
• Complete all required paperwork from vehicle to the offsite such as Bill of Lading and the driver vehicle inspection report.
• Ensure the vehicle used for transportation to and from the offsite is maintained to ensure safe operation and follows designated routes established by store director for maximum efficiency.
• Pull product, organize and store reserve product correctly to ensure backroom accuracy is maintained.
• Maintain product availability on the salesfloor.
• If certified, operate powered equipment to move merchandise as necessary at the offsite and the store backroom.
• Safely and efficiently operate vehicle(s) following established routes, while following established routines and policies, including not using any mobile devices while driving.
• Understand and leverage appropriate escalation tools to solve process and/or guest issues; notify leader(s) as needed.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive up (DU) and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks.
• When guests need assistance, engage with guests in a welcoming way, to help solve their specific needs.
• Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
• All other duties based on business needs.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must possess Class 4 Driver’s License (Hawaii only)
• Must possess a medical examiner’s certificate
• Must pass required road test (if applicable for your state) conducted by the store
• Understand and follow all traffic signs, directions, and signals
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
• Work both independently and with a team
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes

• Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary)
