Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of Licensed Practical Nurse certificate program.
• 1.0-2 years of LPN experience.
• Licensed Practical Nurse license issued by NYS/Department of State.
• IV therapy and phlebotomy skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and escorts the patient for exams and procedures.
• Explains treatment procedures, medications, diets and physicians instructions to patients.
• Administers medications, including injections and IV therapy within licensure.
• Provides basic patient care and treatments (dressings, catheterizations, compresses).
• Collects, labels and processes specimens accurately.
• Enters patient information into the electronic medical record accurately.
