Job summary

Foss Maritime Company seeks an experienced marine operations leader to oversee offshore personnel and ensure safe, efficient vessel performance across our fleet.

You will implement policies, manage hiring and training, and coordinate with customers, pilots, vendors, and regulators to meet project goals and safety standards. Strong budgeting and cost-control skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; maritime academy preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Experience with vessel operations and crew management.
• Knowledge of USCG and ISM standards.
• Excellent budgeting and cost control abilities.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises offshore marine personnel.
• Interfaces with customers, crews, vendors, pilots, and regulators.
• Develops, implements and enforces policies and procedures.
• Responsible for hiring, crewing, and training of marine staff.
• Audits vessel logs and approves overtime.
• Ensures vessel compliance with schedules and safety plans.
• Oversees budgeting and scheduling of fleet assets.
• Directs corrective actions and performance improvement.
