Job summary

OSM Thome Limited is seeking an Offshore Tugger Hoist Operator for a worldwide project with 12-hour shifts, 7 days a week. Rotation options are 112/28 on/off or 56/28 on/off.

The role requires offshore crane operation experience and Stage 1 or Stage 2 crane operator certification, plus English language skills. Responsibilities include maneuvering tugger hoists under supervision, ensuring safety procedures, and maintaining equipment and deck housekeeping during lifting operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate the crane tugger hoists on crane with dedicated tugger hoist consoles.
• Operate the tugger hoists according to the directions of the Main Crane Operator or the Deck Foreman, within machine limits and weather/sea state considerations.
• Follow closely the movement of the Main Crane to timely react to instructions.
• Be aware of surroundings to avoid clashes with vessel equipment.
• Report any malfunctioning to supervisor immediately.
• Ensure safe work procedures for crane lifts are adhered to.
• Keep high housekeeping on crane and operator cabin.
• Stop lifting activity if safety or technical grounds require, to prevent damages or injuries.
• Report to Main Crane Operators and Deck Foreman during lifting operations.

• Salary: Please indicate your realistic wage expectations in EUR/USD/GBP. Salary paid only when working, not paid when on leave.
• Overtime: Applicable.
• Working hours/ days: 12 hours per day, 7 days per week.
• Insurances: Provided by Company.
• Travel: According to Corporate Standards, Prepaid Economy class ticket at beginning, end of CNT and for each work leave rotation cycle.
• Pre employment expenses: On Company's account.
• Employment: Our client, a drilling and construction contractor.

Requirements/ Competence/ Qualifications

• Previous experience as Tugger Hoist Operator offshore.
• Stage 1 or Stage 2 crane operator certificate.
• English Language skills required.

Tasks

• Operate the crane tugger hoists on crane with dedicated tugger hoist consolles.
• Operate the tugger hoists according to the directions of the Main Crane Operator or the Deck Foreman, in accordance with the limits of the machine and with due considerations to existing weather and sea state conditions.
• Follow closely the movement of the Main Crane in order to timely react to instructions.
• Be aware of the surroundings in terms of potential clashes with other vessel equipment.
• Report any malfunctioning to own supervisor.
• Report immediately any malfunctioning.
• Ensure that all safe work procedures for crane lifts are adhered to.
• Keep a high level of housekeeping on the crane and in the operator's cabin.
• Stop the lifting activity if required on safety or technical grounds, if continuing could cause any damages or injuries.
• Report to the Main Crane Operators and Deck Foreman during lifting operations.
