Job summary

Marquette Transportation Company Offshore, LLC in Lockport, LA, is seeking experienced Offshore Tugboat Captains to supervise tug operations with safety and regulatory compliance. The role requires a USCG license and experience in dredge support and anchor handling.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master or Mate of Tow license (Near Coastal minimum, oceans preferred), 3–5 years of dredge support experience, and willingness to travel to vessel/training locations.

Qualifications

• Experience leading crews on tug operations.
• Strong adherence to maritime safety policies and regulations.
• Proven ability to operate complex tug vessels under coastal conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate tugboats and manage crews to ensure safe, efficient movements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and maritime regulations.
• Coordinate dredge support, anchor handling, and tow lining of barges as Master of Tow coastwise.
