Job summary

Marquette Transportation Company Offshore, LLC in Lockport, LA, is seeking experienced Offshore Tugboat Captains to supervise tug operations with safety and regulatory compliance. The role requires a USCG license and experience in dredge support and anchor handling.

The ideal candidate will hold a Master or Mate of Tow license (Near Coastal minimum, oceans preferred), 3–5 years of dredge support experience, and willingness to travel to vessel/training locations.

What You’ll Need

• Valid U.S. Coast Guard license, Master or Mate of Towing Near Coastal (minimum) or Oceans (preferred)
• 3-5 years of experience in dredge support work, anchor handling, and tow lining barges as Master of Towing coastwise
• Experience on the US East Coast & Gulf of Mexico
• Meet USCG physical examination requirements
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to travel to and from vessel/training locations via air or car
• Ability to climb steep stairs, sit or stand for long periods
• Maintain an active TWIC
