Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking an Offshore Structural Integrity Engineer to safeguard aging offshore topsides by performing fitness-for-service evaluations, managing inspections, and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.

You will lead offshore mobilizations, review findings, update global models, and interact with operations, safety, and maintenance while traveling to offshore facilities as needed.

Qualifications

• Must communicate with multi-disciplinary offshore teams.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in integrity management of oil & gas structures.
• Proficient in fitness-for-service evaluations of structural damage including hand calculations and global model checks to relevant codes.
• Able to self-manage offshore mobilizations and lead during offshore mobilizations.
• Willingness to travel offshore and liaison with inspection and ops personnel.

Job Overview

The Offshore Structural Integrity Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of Oxy's aging offshore floating topsides structures. This role combines engineering analysis, inspection management, and decision‑making to maintain structural fitness‑for‑service in accordance with regulatory and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Cross‑functional collaboration by working closely with operations, maintenance, facilities engineering, and construction
• Inspection planning and work‑pack development
• Findings review and post‑processing
• Global model updates of inspection results (fitness for service checks)
• Mitigation and/or repair recommendations
• Mitigation tracking and updates using IDMS
• Generating notifications/workorders for execution of work using CMMS
• Manage annual budgets
• Contract and review the work of sub‑contractors as company technical reviewer
• Travel off‑site as required to liaise with inspection and ops personnel
• Follow company safety standards, engineering processes and quality procedures

Qualifications & Experience

• Must be able to communicate with multi‑disciplinary offshore teams (e.g., inspectors, construction crews, OIMs)
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in integrity management of oil & gas structures
• Proficient in fitness‑for‑service evaluations of structural damage including hand calculations and global model checks to relevant codes
• Able to self‑manage offshore mobilizations and scope execution with experience as lead during offshore mobilizations
• Able to travel to offshore facilities as required for finding related follow‑ups (estimated three or more trips for short durations yearly)
• Able to handle a fast‑paced work environment with several competing priorities (typical of offshore operator)
