Job summary

Valaris is seeking a Rig Safety Advisor to provide comprehensive HSE support for offshore personnel. You will guide OIM and department heads on safety programs, coach on Safe Systems of Work, and drive installation-level safety improvements along with training and reporting duties.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years HSE experience; NEBOSH or CSP is preferred. Willing to travel for remote locations and conduct drills and inspections as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum five (5) years of HSE experience.
• NEBOSH or CSP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide HSE support for all personnel aboard the installation.
• Advise OIM and department heads on HSE programs and management systems.
• Coach on Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) and monitor application.
• Lead installation-level activities to improve HSE performance.
• Coordinate training per matrix requirements and conduct onboard courses.
• Assist with onboarding and orientation for arrivals.
• Manage and monitor the Competency Assurance Management System.
• Prepare HSE reports for company, customers, and regulators.
• Perform rig inspections and check HSE equipment readiness.
• Lead behaviour-based safety program data collection and input.
• Assist with weekly safety meetings and pre-tour briefings.
