Job summary

NDT Tech-Offshore is seeking a skilled NDT Technician to perform onshore/offshore inspections for piping, pipelines, pressure vessels, and mechanical components. You will support Level I/II operations with a focus on safety, accuracy, and documentation.

Travel-heavy, on-call work in remote environments, with readiness for offshore/hazmat conditions and rigorous reporting using standard software.

Qualifications

  • IRATA Rope Access Level 1 or 2 required.
  • Level II certifications in Ultrasonic Thickness, Dye Penetrant, Radiographic Testing, Computed & Digital Radiography, Visual Testing, and Magnetic Particle.
  • Minimum two years of documented NDT Level II work experience.
  • Must hold Radiation Safety State Card and TWIC or able to obtain.
  • Ability to travel offshore and onshore; valid passport required.
  • Proficiency in producing inspection reports and using standard software.
  • Strong attention to safety and documentation accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Assist NDT Level I/II Technicians in inspections using applicable NDT methods.
  • Prepare inspection materials, tools, and equipment before field tasks.
  • Support offshore inspections with diving contractors or independently.
  • Conduct cathodic protection surveys on offshore assets.
  • Use rope access to reach and inspect offshore structures or vessels.
  • Capture findings via camera, video, and written records for reports.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports ensuring accuracy.
  • Operate and maintain NDT equipment; ensure safety compliance.
  • Follow offshore safety protocols and participate in drills.
  • Communicate clearly with team members; mentor Level I trainees.
