Job summary

Bristow Group seeks an experienced VFR helicopter pilot to support offshore oil & gas operations from New Iberia, LA. The role operates a 5 on, 2 off style schedule with relocation support and supplemental compensation beyond base pay.

Candidates must hold a 1st class medical and an FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Helicopter Instrument rating, plus substantial offshore flight hours. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• 1st class medical certificate required.
• FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Helicopter rating.
• Helicopter Instrument rating required.
• Minimum 1500 helicopter PIC hours; 100 hours in the last 12 months.
• Offshore helicopter operations experience preferred.
• ATP and offshore hours are a plus.
• 25 hours AS35 time is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operates designated aircraft safely and in compliance with Bristow standards and regulations.
• Maintains situational awareness of weather, NOTAMs, sea state, and offshore facility status.
• Manages passenger movements, aircraft movements, briefings and baggage loading.
• Completes flight planning, preflight, fueling and manifests for compliance.
• Keeps accurate electronic and paper logs, journey logs and aircraft records.
• Reports mechanical issues and ensures airworthiness before, during and after flights.
• Interfaces with customers and represents Bristow professionally.
• Primarily supports GOM offshore work but may be dispatched elsewhere as needed.
• Follows Bristow procedures and supports Lead Pilot/Operations Manager.
