Job summary

Koil Energy is seeking a motivated Assembly Technician to join our growing production team in Houston, TX. The role involves preparing, assembling, testing, and maintaining equipment for both onshore and offshore operations, with exposure to offshore projects and emerging technologies.

The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and works well in a fast-paced environment. 1–3 years in manufacturing or related fields is preferred, with willingness to travel offshore as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training preferred.
• 1-3 years experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, or mechanical maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Experience with hydraulic systems, pressure testing, or industrial equipment is a plus.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Willingness to travel offshore as required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, test, and qualify products, systems, and equipment to meet specifications.
• Perform product and system testing and participate in qualification activities.
• Execute flushing of equipment to NAS 06 specifications as required.
• Ensure equipment readiness and verify compliance with drawings and documentation.
• Assist with onshore project preparation and execution as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of testing, inspections, and completed work.
• Assist with maintenance and upkeep of equipment spreads used in onshore and offshore operations.
• Inspect equipment and identify potential issues prior to deployment.
• Troubleshoot and repair activities to ensure equipment reliability and performance.
• Ensure compliance with quality requirements and identify opportunities for improvements.
• Assist senior engineers in developing methods to improve product quality and process efficiency.
