Job summary

H&P Offshore seeks an Offshore Engineering Manager to lead the Operations Engineering function supporting offshore drilling operations. You will manage Operations Engineers, set priorities, allocate resources, and partner with Operations, HSE, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Clients, and other engineering disciplines to deliver safe, reliable rig performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 10 years of experience supporting drilling or offshore operations, including leadership of engineers or technical professionals.
• Strong working knowledge of API specifications and recommended practices applicable to drilling rigs and equipment.
• Strong working knowledge of Federal OCS regulatory requirements including 30 CFR Part 250 and SEMS.
• Ability to lead across multiple engineering disciplines and make risk-based decisions.

Responsibilities

• Provides strategic and day-to-day leadership for the Operations Engineering function.
• Leads, coaches, and develops Operations Engineers; sets performance expectations and allocates work.
• Sets priorities and allocates resources across rigs and projects based on risk, value, and capacity.
• Serves as senior engineering liaison with Operator and Company leadership; translates requirements into technical plans.
• Reviews drilling performance, safety trends, and operational risks; approves corrective actions and changes.
