Job summary

Offshore Maintenance Group is seeking an Oiler to monitor and maintain engines and mechanical equipment onboard the vessel, reporting to the Chief Mechanic/Engineer. The role emphasizes safety, adherence to discipline, and participation in required training and drills.

Responsibilities include lubrication, monitoring temperatures/pressures, and performing routine maintenance in accordance with the training matrix and company procedures. A strong commitment to a safe work environment is essential.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or relevant craft certificate (where applicable).
  • Military discharge preferred for U.S. postings.
  • Graduate of trade school or university where applicable to job.
  • Valid medical examination and vaccination certificates.
  • Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Lubricate moving parts such as gears, shafts, and bearings on engines and auxiliary equipment.
  • Monitor engine room temperatures and pressures.
  • Check and log lubricating oil levels and top up as required.
  • Maintain daily log of engine room equipment and monitor for leaks.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs in engine room and machine shop.
