Job summary

Noble Corporation in Houston seeks an Electrical Project Engineer to coordinate electrical, automation, and power distribution scopes across offshore drilling assets. You will support projects from planning through commissioning, handover, and close-out, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

The role requires 5–10 years of offshore/marine project experience, strong stakeholder communication, and ability to work across disciplines with vendors, shipyards, and class.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Automation, Instrumentation, or related.
  • Approx. 5–10 years of offshore/marine/project experience, preferably from MODUs, drillships, or similar assets.
  • Experience with electrical/automation systems including HV/LV, PMS, drives, motors, UPS, instrumentation and safety systems.
  • Ability to review drawings, vendor documents, specs, and test plans for safe project delivery.
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally to offshore sites and shipyards.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project scopes from planning through execution, commissioning, handover, and close-out.
  • Review drawings, vendor documents, specifications, procedures, test plans, and close-out files to support delivery.
  • Support inspections, FATs, commissioning, functional testing, and acceptance testing.
  • Coordinate with vendors, shipyards, class, and internal departments for clear interfaces and execution.
  • Provide electrical/automation input to work packs, schedules, and risk assessments.
