Job summary

Kaizen Lab Inc. is seeking an experienced offshore crane field service technician to perform inspection, troubleshooting and repair work for Ball Ring and King Post Mounted offshore cranes. You will work closely with the Lead Mechanic and Gulf Crane Services representative to ensure safety, quality and timely maintenance.

The role requires knowledge of hydraulic systems, diesel engines, crane rigging, and API 2C/2D/9A standards. Tools and driving are expected; MS Word/Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• Must have mechanical, hydraulic and diesel experience.
• Must know proper crane rigging procedures.
• Good Driving record.
• Able to perform tasks independently.
• Must have thorough knowledge of API spec 2C, API RP 2D and API 9A specifications and practices.
• Must have own hand tools.
• Must have general knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel applications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot and repair offshore cranes and related components.
• Inspect, troubleshoot and repair cranes - Hydraulic Open Loop Systems.
• Overhaul winches, valves and hydraulic components as required.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on diesel engines.
• Carry out preventative maintenance for offshore cranes.
• Observe safety and environmental requirements and follow Gulf Crane Services policies.
• Complete paperwork thoroughly and in a timely fashion.
• Collaborate with Lead Mechanic and Gulf Crane Services Representative.

Job description

Purpose

Perform crane field service alongside Lead Mechanic, and act as Gulf Crane Services Representative for the Crane Product line.

Responsibilities

Help Inspect, troubleshoot and repair Ball Ring and King Post Mounted Offshore Marine Cranes. Inspect, troubleshoot and repair cranes - Hydraulic Open Loop Systems. Ability to completely overhaul winches, valves and hydraulic components. Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance required on diesel engines. Carry out preventative maintenance program for offshore cranes. Observe competitive activities. Contribute to Gulf Crane Services image and reputation. Manage and maintain assigned tools and equipment. Complete all paperwork thoroughly and in a timely fashion. Know and understand Gulf Crane Services Quality Policy and comply with all Safety and Environmental requirements. Perform all other duties as required by Supervisor within the physical constraints of the job alongside Lead Mechanic.
