Job summary

National Oilwell Varco is seeking a Field Service Technician - Controls/Offshore Cranes in Houston (Hybrid). You will travel to customer sites to inspect, install, commission, test, calibrate, repair and train customers on NOV products, perform field software/hardware upgrades, and document field work.

Strong PLC/SCADA troubleshooting and offshore safety readiness are required. Excellent problem-solving and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

Must have high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5 years preferred of Controls/Electrical troubleshooting experience.
Experience with PLCs and PLC control systems (Allen Bradley RSLogix500/Studio 5000, Siemens Step 7/TIA Portal).
Experience with Emerson/Rockwell/Siemens HMI displays.

Responsibilities

Travel to customer sites to inspect, install, commission, test, calibrate, repair and train customers on NOV products.
Perform field upgrades of software and hardware and train customers on operation.
Complete and submit field service documentation in a timely manner.
Install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair NOV lifting and handling equipment.
