Job summary

Cenovus Energy seeks an experienced Central Control Room Operator for offshore duties on the West White Rose platform. You will manage the overall control of production and utilities, operating on 12-hour shifts, three weeks on and three weeks off.

Ideal candidates have extensive upstream oil and gas experience, knowledge of DCS/ICSS, and strong team coordination skills to support safe, efficient platform operations offshore Newfoundland and Labrador.

Qualifications

• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Technologist or Industry Certification from a recognized post-secondary institution.
• 5–10 years’ related experience in upstream oil & gas; offshore experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate control room duties and outside operations as applicable.
• Monitor subsea wells, flowlines, and risers per procedures and ensure PTW compliance.
• Oversee telecommunication systems, ICSS, fire & gas, and ESD systems.
• Maintain safe operation of Platform and Processing/Utility facilities.
• Lead response during abnormal conditions and emergencies with clear CHANGES management communication.
• Provide direction to Operators and maintain shift logbooks and records.
