Job summary

OSM Thome is seeking an experienced Barge Master for an offshore construction project in Denmark. The Barge Master will oversee daily management, production, and crew operations, ensuring all activities comply with company and regulatory standards to maintain a safe and professional working environment.

Location is foreshore operations between Denmark and Germany, based in Rødbyhavn; shore accommodation is provided during off-shift hours.

Qualifications

• Master license for marine vessel operation.
• 10 years of marine/offshore experience.
• Strong conflict resolution and communication skills.
• Familiarity with maintenance programs for offshore units.
• Completion of mandatory training and certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee vessel safety and compliance at sea.
• Maintain HSE policies and vessel management systems.
• Report inspections and incidents to management.
• Ensure equipment availability and nav systems function.
• Plan and supervise operations with crews and offices.
• Lead daily operational meetings and handovers.
• Coordinate ship maintenance and ship move plans.
