Job summary

Advance Local is seeking a Press Operator for our commercial print operation. The role involves operating and maintaining the Goss Colorliner press, with 4+ years of offset printing experience preferred.

You will work on a night shift with weekends and holidays, in a production environment with required PPE. We offer competitive pay ($30-$32/hr), medical/dental/vision, life insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, and an employee assistance program.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of offset printing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of operating a daily newspaper offset press is beneficial.
• Supplemental training in the printing trade is preferred.
• Ability to set color, adjust registration, plates, lead sheets, and reel room equipment.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills with computer and math proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the press on an assigned shift as part of the press crew.
• Work in a deadline-driven, team environment with flexibility for night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Ensure safe operation with PPE in a production environment.
• Lift up to 80 lbs and move rolls of newsprint on carts.
