Cargolux Airlines is seeking a seasoned Compliance professional based in Houston to support the Compliance Department in establishing and maintaining a robust program for Area 1 in the Americas. The role focuses on advising, monitoring, and reporting on compliance and ethics across the region.

The candidate should have strong English skills, ethics, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with senior management to drive effective compliance practices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position or with similar responsibilities.
  • High degree of verbal & written English is mandatory.
  • Be ethics-oriented and possess a strong moral compass.
  • Be trustworthy, honest and integer.
  • Strong reporting and organizational skills, including maintenance and updating documentation databases.
  • Possess excellent communication & social skills.
  • Experience in training is considered an advantage.
  • People and team oriented with the capacity to work independently as well.
  • Ability to multi-task between several open projects; good time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Compliance Department in establishing and implementing an effective compliance program to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct with special regard to the Americas, Area 1.

  • Provide guidance for the Compliance Department and senior management on matters relating to Compliance, especially those related to Area 1.
  • Implement all necessary actions to ensure achievement of the objectives of an effective Compliance program in Area 1.
  • Support the Compliance department in any arising issue, as determined by their line manager or the Chief Compliance Officer.

Job description

The overall purpose and objective of the position is to:

Working Conditions
  • The position holder is based in Houston.
  • The position demands a regular presence in the office and requires vacation and other absences to be planned so as to avoid conflicting with service needs.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Flexibility may be needed with working hours. The position holder shall keep informed their line manager on their whereabouts and the means of telecommunications through which they will be reachable for urgent company needs, while on company mission.
