Job summary

Cargolux in Houston is seeking a Compliance Officer to develop and oversee the Area 1 compliance program for the Americas. You will work with the Compliance Department and senior management to prevent legal and ethical breaches and to ensure effective governance.

The role requires at least 5 years of relevant experience, a degree in Legal or International Affairs, and excellent English. Occasional travel and in-office presence may be required; salary ranges from 58,800 to 64,800 USD per year.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position or with similar responsibilities.
• Higher education degree in Legal or International Affairs.
• Fluent English (verbal and written) is mandatory.
• Ethics-oriented with strong moral compass.
• Trustworthy, honest and integral.
• Strong reporting and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Compliance Department in establishing and implementing an effective compliance program for Area 1 (Americas).
• Advise Area 1 on day-to-day compliance matters.
• Monitor and report results of Compliance and Ethics efforts for Area 1.
• Provide guidance to Compliance Department and senior management on Area 1 matters.
• Implement actions to ensure objectives of Area 1 compliance program are achieved.
• Support the Compliance department on arising issues as directed by line manager or Chief Compliance Officer.
